The Palais du Luxembourg (or Luxembourg Palace) in Paris was built between 1615 and 1645, to be the royal residence of the regent Marie de Médicis. Since 1958 it has been the seat of the French Senate.

When you're in Paris, you should really pay this palace a visit. On TripAdvisor, 94% of the visitors would recommend visiting the Luxembourg Palace. Also, the Luxembourg Garden is astounding, as you can already tell by looking at Google Maps.
